Clothes to Bring this September, October and November in the Philippines

by: Charles Bolanos The weather in the Philippines this September till November is "tropical". There is sunshine in the morning and rain in the afternoon. The coolness is like the typical Spring in other countries, but a little warmer. Best clothes to bring are pure cotton shirts, pants and skirts. If you need something formal - the clothes we usually wear is natural mixed with synthetic fiber. The best clothes I wore was a cotton shirt that was woven in India. When you wear the cotton clothes from India, the cool air breathes through the clothes and is very refreshing. However, the Indian designs are quite exotic, so I decided to buy more clothes in the Philippines to blend. Clothes from Indonesia and Malaysia are also okay because they are made from pure cotton. Do not bring clothes that are woven in wool. Clothes woven in wool are elegant, but you can't wear woolen clothes in the streets of my country. Unless you plan to ride an air conditioned car while you tour the i

Why not learn some recipes... you will never know when you can put up your own restaurant! 2. Go Lake Hopping. The lakes are full of water...and the dams are not that full, so when the sun shines...take advantage of going around the places where there are lakes, rivers and yes...even the beach! 3. Watching movies is one of the best indoor activities you can do during rainy season. If you are a movie buff, you might as well try theatre hopping for a different kind of experience. Watching multiple movies within a day can be fun but also taxing. Here are some tips to make the most out of your movie marathon. • Don’t go movie hopping if you are too tired. You should be in your optimum strength and mood for it or else you might just end up sleeping inside the movie house. • Choose a mall that has multiple movie houses. Ideally, you should consider cinemas that are just adjacent to each other so you don’t have to spend time and energy on searching for the locations. If your vacation rental is somewhere near North Edsa, SM North and Trinoma are good options. • Buy and book movie tickets in advance.  You can do this on-site or online. There are also some items that are unique to the Philippines. In addition, some stores help others through the purchases you make on a Philippines vacation. FRUIT The climate of the Philippines allows many kinds of crops to grow. The sweetest of these offerings are fruits. There are many fruits native to the Philippines, such as rambutan, lansones, durian, and even strawberries in Baguio. One of the most well-loved fruits however, is the mango. Guimaras, a province in the Philippines is rumored to grow the sweetest mangoes. The Guimaras mango is so sweet that it is reportedly served in the White House. For this reason, other mango species are not allowed to be brought onto the island. A kilo of mangoes sells for P80+ during off season and for P45+ in season (starting April until the end of the summer). WOODCARVING Paete, Laguna is the w
