Going Shopping this August: Preparation for the Upcoming Holidays

by: Ronan Vergara

Going to the mall is a fun especially if you have a plan with a budget. August till October is the best months to prepare for the upcoming Holidays. If you plan to shop, the Philippines is the haven of shopping malls at an affordable price. Typically August is a 50% cut off price till October... then January till March.

Having fun shopping does not mean that you have to spend your money for something unimportant though. There’s always a need. Perspective is your key for an exciting and worthwhile shopping. Think of anything that you need to buy whether it’s a supply or something you are saving for. If you are on a vacation rental, asking for directions for a nearby mall is your next step.

When you arrive at the mall, go look for these things before doing anything else. Often times, we forget to buy that one thing that we came to the mall for. Spare yourself from getting annoyed by your forgetfulness. Since one of the reasons you went to the mall is to pass time, don’t be in such a hurry. If you still don’t have the exact brand or specifications in mind, take your time comparing prices and features even if it’s only a shampoo you’re trying to buy. Explore your options and figure out the best deal you can get.

Once you are finished with your priority task, you are now free to visit your favorite shops for a window shopping. You may also want to drop by a bookstore to learn about books or magazines that might interest you. If your budget permits, go buy it.

Read it at your favorite coffee shop as you end your shopping day.
