Why is it Wise to Get Married in August, September and October in the Philippines

by: Mrs. Queenie Bolanos

The best months of getting married in the Philippines are August, September and October.

Here are the reasons why:

1. Most Churches are not fully booked. If you want to get married right away, no problem.
2. Weekdays is best, because less traffic and hotels are not crowded.
3. If you like a value for your money wedding, August, September and October are off peak prices.
4. If you plan an exciting wedding here are my tips:

    a. Have your wedding be blessed at Church, nearby where you stay nearest. Have a cozy family
celebration at a nearby eat all you can restaurant, complete with picture and gifts. If you want, you can           sponsor their stay in a furnished apartment in one day...just to make sure all the brides maid with their
sponsors are complete, plus their make up are all in place.

   Then the next week....

   b. Have a second wedding by the beach or under the sea waters (just make sure its not typhoon which you can easily predict using http://www.accuweather.com) and invite the judge of the town to wed you under sea water. Typically resorts are at 50% discounts during August, September and October. Make sure you have a complete gear. This will officially give you the paper you need for marriage license.

c. Spend overnight at the beach with bonfire and barbecue.

d. If you like to spend time together with your husband or wife for your honeymoon, make sure that this is planned too, go to Pagudpud, Tambumbong, Hundred Islands, Bolinao (go cave hopping, river lunch, and see the light house), eat native food at the famous Binmaley restaurant where Filipino food is authentic.

e.  Newly weds are expected to go island hopping for their honeymoon. The Philippines has 7,107 islands for you to enjoy, and mountains and river riding for you to enjoy this August till October.

August to October are off peak months so better take advantage of  non-holiday and summer prices... more value for your money.
