In the Philippines, preparation starts on the 28th of October when most people starts going to the provinces. 28th of October is when families starts preparing for their reunions, and block of the 31st October as "the day" of seeing each other. It is usually overnight at the cemetery, where you meet lots of people praying for the departed loved ones. Though honestly.... its not yet the date, as the feast of the Saints are still upcoming.
