August 21 is a Holiday in the Philippines

by: Melanie Queenie Bolanos with Alvin

21 August 2015 is a public holiday in the Philippines the death of the Senator Noynoy Aquino, which unleashed the famous real  Edsa Revolution walk.

I remember when we were children how our parents are both fearless  and scared for our future about  the whole situation in the Philippines.

It was almost a civil war, but because of the call of the
Archbishop Cardinal Sin of Manila to walk to the streets
and pray the Holy Rosary...

       Edsa Revolution (1)

It was not easy for us. The historical intervention of Our Lady to protect the Philippines Islands from useless bloodshed and civil war.

The Blessed Mother Mary has been protecting the Philippine Islands, a historical record was 15 March to 4 October 1646, when the Spanish and the Filipinos fought the Dutch invasion (2)
We were all Catholics Christians then. Imagine if the Catholics will reunite and just make peace in
the world...no more wars. I think we have to pray the Holy Rosary to avoid blood shed and wars all over.

We believe as Catholics that the Blessed Mother has legions of Angels at her command, with Our Lord as the Head of course. Its in the book of Revelations.

How to Enjoy 21 August 2015

1. Pray for the soul of Senator Noynoy Aquino, our beloved former President Cory and now the President who is in the last stretch of his term as the President by celebrating Holy Mass in the Morning for their family.

2. Go around the Philippines Islands. We are near Tarlac so most probably visit the place and go for a beach to get some fresh air.  Tarlac is the hometown of President Cory so we may as well visit it for a cultural trip... this is just a plan, otherwise, malling is also an option plus visits at the National Museum.

3. Visit President Noynoy at the libingan ng mga bayani... and leave some flowers behind, then go for a Manila de Bay tour -- cruising...then a stop over at SM Mega Mall.
