So if it is your first time  here are some tips on how to enjoy street food: 1. Make sure the food is newly cooked and served hot. Freshly Hot Cooked Bulalo  (Filipino Beef Stew) 2. Check hygienic standards. 3. Always bring an umbrella and sun block (virgin coconut oil is the best sun block for a tan) wherever you go. 2. Keep Google Maps in handy - in case of doubt buy a printed map. 3. Keep hydrated. Bring a bottle of water always. 4. Bring a camera for a memorable snap chat. 5. Travel with family and friends. 6. Rent a furnished home with 2 bedrooms or more if necessary. 7. Be decent in thoughts, words and actions in the Philippines. 8. Always be careful with your belongings, best not to show off gadgets, be a smart traveler. 9. Eat what you need. You have no idea how good Filipino food could be! 10. Make new friends who are introduce to you by a trusted friend. Have fun! Speaking Tagalog in the Philippines

Most Filipinos love to hear the following: 1. Magandang umaga!  Good morning! 2. Magandang hapon!   Good afternoon! 3. Magandang gabi!   Good evening! 4. Salamat po ! Thank you !  (this is thanking older folks even if you are higher in status.) 5. Salamat Kuya! Thank you older brother! (most male Filipinos appreciate this thank you, just make sure that they are really older than you are.) 6. Salamat Ate! Thank you older sister (same as no. 5)  7. Salamat! Thanks (if you are thanking somebody of the same age). 8. Aalis na kami! Goodbye! 9. Ingat! Take Care! by: Aileen and Marty Our weather in the Philippines is humid. It is refreshing and it can careen to the typical summer weather. Sometimes after a warm sunshine, a strong rain follows. This can be very uncomfortable, you may feel actually sticky with this weather conditions. So how to keep feeling fresh all the time: 1. Make sure you take a bath daily or twice if necessary. 2. Change your clothes daily especially if you come in from work or school. 3. Best to always use new clothes. The weather in the Philippines is warm and cool at the same, and perspiration facilitates body odor bacteria to multiply fast. 4. Wear deodorant every after taking a bath. 5. Always use a powder and slightly scented cologne. 6. Do not hesitate to change foundation garments when necessary. 7. Wash hands and brush 3 x a day.
