Philippines Culture: Visita Iglesia

Hello there, this is my chance to write some nice places for
Visita Iglesia (Church Visits).  This article is for Catholic
Christians who plan to spend the Holy Week in the Philippines.

There are many occasions when we visit Churches as a family:

a.  Holy Thursday
b. Pilgrimages to our Lady
c. Jubilee Doors

Holy Thursday is a day during Lent that is considered a day of
feast. It is when the Holy Eucharist is historically instituted during
the Last Supper. Thus the Holy Tabernacle is exposed in the garden,
commemorating the "Agony in the Garden" of Jesus before his
crucifixion.

Pilgrimages to our Lady  anytime of the year, but specially on
May and October. Through her intercession many wars, struggles had
been won.

Jubilee Doors the is the year of Mercy and Compassion, specific Churches
have jubilee doors. If you pass through it, then pray for (1) one Apostles' Creed, one
Our Father, One Hail Mary and One Glory Be for the intentions of the Holy Father.

Here is my favorite Cathedral that whenever we visit Manila
we visit this Church at least once a year. There are many Churches
but this one is special as this is the Archdiocese of Manila:

The Manila Cathedral is built near the Governor General's Office. This was the real location of the Governor from Spain which was built more than 300 years ago. Here's me for a remembrance.

My Avenue... not really...must be named after a famous conquistador or a Spanish Illustrado, they told me that my great great grand father was Spanish. But there is no trace of Spanish blood in my face only maybe in my foot sole...
its super white :0.
