A Christmas party is never complete without games! What games do you play during Christmas? See if the awesome games below are in your count:
Longest Tune
For kids, the ‘longest Merry Christmas’ game is common for Christmas programs. Each child will be asked to sing “Merry Christmas”. The one who can hold the tune at “ma-“ the longest without losing breath, wins the game.
Paper Dance
‘Paper dance is everyone’s old-time favorite game. This classic game only requires newspapers and background music. The number of players is unlimited, as long as each has his own pair.
At the start of the game, all newspapers are opened wide. Each time the music is stopped, the pairs need to step onto the newspaper, no part of the feet touching the ground. The game continues until the last pair remains.
Act and React
One easy game to play is called “Act and React”. A spin-off from charades, each player will be asked to show his reaction to a certain event which the opposing team will then try to guess.
At the start of the game, every player will be asked to think of a situation which they will write on a piece of paper. The players are then divided into two groups. During his turn, a player will draw lots to randomly choose an event that he will react on.
Blow the Plastic Cup
‘Blow the plastic cup’ is another fun game. One hole will be made at the center of the bottom of a plastic cup. A string whose ends are tied to opposite poles, will be made to pass through the hole.
The game can have at least 2 teams, each team having 3-5 members. During each player’s turn, he will blow the cup towards the end and then back again. The team which finishes first wins the game.
Run Like a Penguin
A game that can make the guests burst out laughing is called “Run Like a Penguin”. There could be at least two teams, each team having 5-10 members. The members of each team will take turns to run or walk with a balloon in between their legs, making them look like penguins.
Nativity Characters
The Christmas Party is a costume party of the Nativity Scene. The game is a group that can complete the Nativity Scene fastest. First all similar characters are group together, then the emcee will say "go" the first group with the most complete character wins.
Christmas Carols Game "Name that Tune"
Christmas carols are played depending on the number of notes the participants can guess. The emcee tells a short background of the tune. The other team can steal the chance when the other group fails to answer the tune right; or they pass it to another group. The most number of songs that a group identified wins.
Write the most number of Christmas Carols
The game master gives each group seven minutes as many Christmas Carols each group knows.
The group with the most number of Christmas Carols written without any duplicate
as compared to another group. Each group must sing their Christmas Carol alternate till one group
runs out of Christmas Carols.
