Easy Wedding Preparation this Upcoming June

by: Aileen and Marty Soriano

Here are some notes on how to reserve for a Church
Wedding this Upcoming June:

1. Prepare your baptismal certificate. If you are
coming from another country, better bring a
copy before eventually coming to the Philippines.
If you are a foreigner, bring your baptismal certificate from the Church you came
from. Do not come to the Philippines without it.

2. Prepare a confirmation certificate. You may
receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at the
Immaculate Conception in Novaliches or
San Miguel near the President's Palace.

3. Marriage License which you can get from
the City Hall. A certification of both spouses
are needed that they had never been married.
If a widow and widower, it is also best to bring
a copy that you are single again.

4. Choose your wedding date.

5. Attend some gatherings to meet new
people through the Church by attending
some seminars and classes. This usually
take a day or two only. A great opportunity
to meet new friends.

6. List your sponsors and Godparents.
7. Reserve the date for your wedding.
8. Prepare a reception, you may opt to reserve in a
air-conditioned restaurant instead of a garden wedding,
because June is a lucky month, with rain showers.

9. Other Important Documents for Foreigners (Men and Women):

a.) Certificate of Availability to Get Married.
b.) Certificate that you are Single.

10. Apply for a marriage license.

If you happen to stay at the short term rentals in Novaliches
Quezon City, its easy to reserve and plan for your wedding
date.

Best wishes to all those who are getting married this
upcoming June!
