Undiscovered Philippines: Other than Palawan and Matabungkay Beach

by: Carlo Bolanos

Palawan and Matabungkay Beach is a really hot spot to visit for most Filipinos and their friends.

BUT... as we have 7,107 islands in store for you, there are undiscovered places which you may want to consider when visiting the Philippines:

1. Sand Bars in Batangas. You will pass through mangroves...a typical big lake that crosses to the sea. There is a sand bar .... a beach in the middle of the beach! Its a long stretch of sand high way. You can park the bangka you are riding and jump into the sand bar beach!

2. Tambumbong is located in Pangasinan, which is along the coast line of 100 islands. The sea is clear, the sand is fine. You will surely get a tan.

3. Pandin Twin Lakes. Here you will cross the lake till you reach the mini falls and clear water lake where you can jump in and swim! The water is cold and refreshing. Best to visit this place during summer time.  You may also ask the folks to serve you fresh shrimps and fresh water rice with toyomansi sauce, grilled eggplant or "talong", sweet native vinegar with honey, fresh tomatoes and wansoy or onion leeks.

If its your last day in the Philippines today, do not be sad, because you can always come back and visit us again. Just make sure you give us an advance call.
