Christmas Places to Visit in the Philippines

by: Mrs. Aileen B. Soriano

This is the last week of November, and once the first
day of December steps in... Its officially Christmas
time in the Philippines.

Here are some nice places you can visit
while you are in vacation at the Furnished
Apartment in Novaliches

1.  Parol Fest at the University of the
Philippines which is on 15 December 2014.
I suggest that you bring the children to
the historic Holy Sacrifice Parish before
the parade starts.

The Holy Sacrifice Parish houses the
work arts of National Artists. The dome
and the paintings are done by awarded
artists in my country.

Taste the historical fish ball and other
street food in the university. It is best
to come at least 30 minutes before it
opens to avoid the long line.

Visit the Tiangge or small stores afterwards
at super affordable prices.

2. Simbang Gabi at the University of
Sto. Tomas which is usually held at
the grand stadium during the cold winds
of December.

3.  Watch a play and concert at the Ateneo de Manila
University at an affordable price. It is advisable to
visit the university 3 hours ahead of time before
the concert starts. You can eat at the nearby
restaurants which houses the finest chef
 in my country.

4. Attend the Simbang gabi at the Parokya ng
Pagkabuhay Parish. Experience hanging your
Christmas wish at the Christmas Tree.

5. Hot Air Balloon and Jet flying exhibition
in Pampanga. This is 1 1/2 drive away from
the furnished apartment in Novaliches.

6. Attend Simbang gabi at Our Lady of Angel's
Seminary. Experience prayer, reflection and the
choir of the Franciscan Friars, and appreciate
the the beauty of the  Church and fresh air.

7. Use the MRT and go to the University of
Asia and the Pacific to go for your family confession
in preparation for Christmas; and experience
the choir at Edsa Shang.

I will write some places as the days of December comes
along.
