If you are into water falls and you have a lot of time to spare this summer, then the Philippines is the best place for you to go for your summer vacation. There is always affordable vacation rentals for transienthousing available for you, may it be a 2 bedroom furnished apartment or a 5bedroom furnished apartment for the whole family. Taking a break from all your troubles in the Philippines is never a bad idea, so let’s talk about how you could get to all the wonderful water falls coming from Manila.

The Pinsal Falls in Ilocos Sur is a prime spot for an intimate encounter with nature, which is an ideal location for family picnics or small gatherings. Travel time is approximately ten hours, starting from Manila when you take the Florida bus to Ilocos. Ask the driver to drop you off at Sta. Maria, and the tricycle drivers there can then take you to the falls.

A beautiful and very elegant waterfall, and also one of the most famous in the Philippines, next in our list is the Pagsanjan Falls in Laguna. The Pagsanjan is a must-see for tourists as it takes your breath away with its rhythmic sound and cool breeze it creates. To get there, you will have to ride a bus from Buendia bus terminal in Manila bound for Laguna, getting off at Santa Cruz, where you can take a jeepney to Pagsanjan.
Just near Pagsanjan Falls is the Majayjay Falls, a waterfall whose lake can be swum on safely. You could take the same bus in Buendia bus terminal you used to get to Pagsanjan Falls to get there. Ask the driver to drop you off at the terminal where jeepneys could bring you to Majayjay.

Also in Laguna, you could visit the Kalayaan Twin Falls, a majestic twin waterfall that will surely hold you in awe. A little bit harder to get to, the bus bound for Sta. Cruz in the Buendia terminal can only take you as far as Sta. Cruz, where you will have to ride a jeepney to take you through Kalayaan Highway. You will have to get off in front of the St. John Evangelist Parish and walk half a kilometer from there to reach the waterfall.
Finally, a simpler but equally rhythmic waterfall, you can also visit the Hinulugang Taktak Falls in Antipolo City. A very unusual and one of a kind falls, its rhythmic sound comes from gentle water droplets instead of raging water falls. Antipolo is reachable from Cubao in Quezon City, where jeepneys that go straight to the city proper can be found.
