Undiscovered Places in the Philippines
Veteran travelers may have already visited the more famous destinations in the Philippines like Boracay and Palawan. However, our country has much more in store for you, especially if you’re after the less discovered, less commercialized beach which are easily the best places to stay in the Philippines.
The province of Binmaley has Binmaley beach. Enjoy the find gray sand and the fresh sea food!
Visit the white sands of Bolinao Beach, and wade in the river beach, and have cool deep. Clean white beach.
You may also visit one hundred islands in one stop... the 100 islands in Alaminos Pangasinan!
The province of Zambales has an undiscovered place that you could visit called Anawangin Cove. A family of locals serves as the care-takers of the place and will bring you to the island on a boat during the weekdays, and leave the cove for you and your family. There isn’t a vacation apartment there but the place is ideal for camping and soul-searching.
You could also go snorkeling and diving in the province of Negros Oriental by visiting Apo Island. Its scenic lakes and beaches are truly breathtaking, and you won’t even have to worry about finding temporary housing because there is a resort on location. They also have diving rentals vacation packages that you could avail for.
There is also a place near Boracay that looks like a scene from the past, because of its candid nature with fishing communities and mostly undisturbed, white sand beach. I’m talking about Golden Beach in Antique. It is kinda harder to find temporary housing here though so you might want to reserve a transient house for vacation near the local town if you one to stay for a long time.
If you want to go someplace where you could focus on the beach and nature, Calaguas Island in Camarines Norte is the place to go. You will have to bring your own tents and there is no mobile or internet signal in the area, though. But this place is the go-to place if you want to go island hopping!
If you are more worried about accessibility, you could go to Romblon and visit the beaches that are just 5-10 minutes away from the town proper! What’s so good about this is that despite its proximity to the bustling city life, the beaches are mostly untouched and you could enjoy island hopping here also during the low tide. Be sure to check out Bonbon Beach, which is connected to the main island of Romblon and is further connected to smaller islands that you could walk to during the low tide.
And that’s my personal favorites among the many undiscovered places in the Philippines. But before you go, be sure that you are fully-prepared to go on a trip, have your accommodations settled beforehand and always check the weather first so you won’t get stranded.
If you’re worrying about accommodations, you don’t have to worry because usually there would be one nearby (except for Golden Beach and Calaguas Island).
It is always advisable to have a two-bedroom short term housing in the city like in Novaliches, Quezon City or reserve a five-bedroom furnished apartments if you are traveling with your family.
